In this concert Roberto Soldatini alternates pieces for cello only with pieces in which he plays and recites at the same time. It is a work that represents the continuation of the experimentation that had begun with the great director-actor Leo De Berardinis. The lyrics are not simply read with a musical accompaniment: the rhythms and melodies of the voice are written in the score together with the cello part. The viewer experiences an imaginary route through mythical scenes of sea literature, from classical to modern, from Jules Verne to Jacques Brel, from Björn Larsson to Roberto Soldatini himself.
